KATHMANDU: SATURDAY, 8 MAY

Finally, the United Communist Party Maoist has taken a decision to end the 6 days long indefinite strike that had caused people's normal lives extremely difficult.  There was a big spontenous peace procession by the general publics demanding to end the strike and restore peace in the country.  Yesterday, thousands of people marched rally in the street and gathered at the heart of Kathmandu city.  This public pressure and demand for peace and end of the strike was part of major cause for ending the strike by the Maoists.
